Kayla moved here from Las Vegas 2 years ago, and is a graduate from Pima Medical Institute with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She loves to fish, hike and spend time with her family.
Sue comes to us from New England, with seven years of veterinary experience. Her experiences include being an animal handler and trainer for Universal Studios and Animal Planet. She graduated with honors from "Tiger's Eye Production" in Florida caring for leopards, tigers, lions, primates, birds of prey, deer and snakes. Sue has done volunteer work for the Florida Audubon Society and Oregon's Wildlife Images. In her spare time, Sue enjoys riding her motorcycle, trips to the coast or beating her previous score in Angry Birds. Sue's passion is providing professional and compassionate service for pets and humans that love them.
Sue is also a public notary, registered with the state of Oregon for over 11 years. She is more than happy to assist you with any documents you might need notarized.
Summer comes to Phoenix Animal Hospital with 17 years of veterinary experience and management responsibilities. Her passion is saving Pit bulls, and has 2 herself, Gema and Mangus. One day she hopes to open a Pit bull rescue, to find homes for those unwanted dogs. Summer also has a dachshund and 3 cats. She has 2 children and has been married for 27 years.
Brittney recently graduated from college as a Veterinary Assistant and has completed her course for radiology certification. After completing her externship with Phoenix Animal Hospital, she joined our team of caring professionals and is looking forward to continuing her career helping animals. Her compassion has opened her heart and home to three animals who were in dire need of a loving family. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like camping and fishing.
Nicole, Certified Veterinary Assistant
Nicole is a Gold Hill resident who loves being surrounded by trees, wildlife and the Rogue River. At home she has a Russian tortoise, 3 ducks, chickens, fish, aquatic frog and a fancy hamster. Outside of work she likes to practice martial arts, rafting on the Rogue River and fishing. Nicole is a graduate of Rogue Community College with a degree in Veterinary Assisting.
Sarah, Veterinary Assistant
Sarah is the newest member of our team, and hopes to gain more experience and knowledge working with animals. She was born and raised in Southern Oregon and has always had a passion for animals. She is a mom to two dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon. We hope she has a long and fulfilling career with us at Phoenix Animal Hospital.
Hannah is a junior in high school who wants to continue her veterinary education after graduation. She enjoys camping, riding dirt bikes and spending time with her family and friends. Hannah loves all animals but has a special affinity for her dogs and cats at home.
Our resident cat who prefers to stay behind the scenes and be the unseen hero of our hospital. Ben helps recover animals after surgery by sharing their blankets.
Our greeter and reception assistant. Moe came to us as a rescue cat who needed a home. We agreed to foster him temporarily . . . that was a long time ago.
A new adoption for Phoenix Animal Hospital that came to us from Jackson County Animal Shelter. Katniss was named during a naming contest we had for our clients. Thanks to all who gave us some great ideas, and congratulations to Joe J. who won the contest.
